Why I write

Everybody does something for a reason. I am a writer because for me, writing is relaxing and I get to express different feelings to the world without judgement..
About a year ago I was excited about writing my first book. I had a friend (or so I thought she was a friend) who is an author and publisher. I told her about my idea and she told me she would help me along the way.. When I started asking questions she changed her mind about helping me so I had to figure it out on my own..
I didn’t mind figuring it out on my own because I needed to know what I was doing anyway. After a couple of months I released 4 books because I felt like I needed to prove a point.. I didn’t do the proper research before finishing up and that was my fault.. Upon releasing the books, I knew deep down that they were only about 50% complete, but again, I felt like I had to prove a point so I put them on Amazon anyway..

Now, for the past year and a couple of months I have been doing a lot of research and taking different courses to get the full concept of writing..
I am taking my books off Amazon so I can revise and have them re-edited…

In February, the books will be ready for re-release as well as 3 new books I’ve been working on..
I am finally feeling proud and confident about my writing, and I can honestly say, I am excited..
This has been a long, stressful, and overwhelming experience for me, but I wouldn’t have it any other way… I have learned so much about writing and being patient and I am finally ready to spread the word…..

  1. Hi Tracey. Firstly I love your blog, you pink goddess! This blog particularly resonates with me because I know my first book is not my best. I have already made one revision. My other alternative was to write a companion book and I am still thinking about that. Thank you for following me and good luck with the writing.

  2. Tracey, I can totally relate to you as far as your passion for writing. I would love to write a book, but like you now know it takes a lot of research and time to get it right. I totally understand why you did what you did…we have all felt the need of validation. I want to commend you on being so raw and honest about it all. I know those books will be great when they come out in Feb. and I will be sure to read them. Keep up the great work. I enjoy your writing!
